Historic Preservation Incentive Grant Application
The Historic Preservation Incentive Grant Programs provides financial assistance to residential property owners to stabilize, preserve, and maintain the historic character of individual structures within the Local Historic Districts. This includes residential properties within the Brooklyn-South Square, Downtown, Ellis Street Graded School, North Main Street, and West Square Local Historic Districts. Grants are awarded on a 50/50 matching basis with a maximum City participation of up to $2,500. Applicants with household incomes of 80% or less of the Area Median Family Income may be funded on a 75/25 matching basis with a maximum City participation of up to $7,500. Grant awards are based on application scores, number of grantees, and total available funds.
