We Help Georgia College Students Go Higher
The Higher Foundation Grant promotes post-secondary education by providing need-based financial aid to Georgia college students. We award one-time $500 grants directly to Georgia college students to help cover their cost-of-living expenses. Our grant cycle is August through May to align with the academic year, and grant recipients are selected monthly at random to eliminate bias. Students will receive application updates by the 15th of the month. Please do not contact us for an application update. If your application is submitted correctly, you will be added to our random selection pool for up to one calendar year. We randomly select grant recipients on the 15th of the month during August through April. If you are selected, we will request you to provide your Enrollment Verification from the Office of the Registrar by the 1st of the following month during September through May. Once received, you will receive the grant award via PayPal by the 15th of the same month. All grant recipients are encouraged to submit a Higher Testimonial and participate in The Give Higher Campaign once the grant award has been received. If you are selected as a Higher Student, we will edit your video and publish it for The Give Higher Campaign. We ask that our students participate in The Give Higher Campaign and pay it forward. "Pay it Forward" is a crowdfunding opportunity that students can participate in once they receive financial assistance from us. Students are able to lead their own crowdfunding fundraiser on our behalf for The Give Higher Campaign. We will set up your fundraiser on our Givebutter platform, and we will provide you with your campaign link for you to share via text, email, and social media. Each student is asked to raise $500 within 30 days by getting 20 people to give $25. Once students meet their goal, we will send them a gift and acknowledge one of their chosen contributors. By leading your own fundraiser, you will pay it forward and help us provide financial assistance to more Georgia college students. Your participation is optional.
