As former business owners, coaches, consultants, advisors, etc. for companies both large and small, we have seen a pattern across all these businesses that, when identified, can help each business owner level up!

LEVEL 1 - you are running a full time business, with a small support staff performing specific tasks for you, or possibly by yourself with the occasional part time or VA person helping. You are making $10K to as much as $100K per month but money is tight and you need to find a way to make more. You work excessive hours and always feel stuck. You wish you had more free time to enjoy the money you do make, but, your business relies on you being there.
LEVEL 2 - Your business is medium in size and has a staff of at least 3 to 5 employees, typically 5 to 15 employees. You are making more money, between $50K and $250K per month but YOU KNOW there is more profit to be had, and definitely more money to be made once you find more or better ways to scale and expand your product/ service lines. LEVEL 3 - Your business is larger and has been growing steadily at a conservative 10-40%, on average over the years. You have a full staff including managers, and likely a full C-level team as well. Your business is generating between $100K to $1MM per month in gross revenues with a gross margin of 20-50%. You are focused on reducing overhead and Cost Of Goods Sold to get your net margin closer to your gross margin. You are looking at ways to expand your business product of service lines to increase your overall revenue and therefore your bottom line. You take the standard vacations and business trips, but, will accept business calls and emails as your business doesnt run the same without you.
LEVEL 4 - Your business is small/ medium or large and is making $10K/ $100K or $1MM+ per month. You have the team you need to perform the tasks that run your business whether you are there or not. They are trained and have a system to follow that does not require you to solve it. Your team is will compensated for what they do because you have the margins to pay them well, as well as, the reward system to encourages them to enjoy the work they do. Your margins are high for your industry as you have a diverse portfolio of products/ services that allows you to generate more money efficiently. Your ability to scale is unlimited based on the fluidity and ease of duplication of your model. Your time spent in your business is only to follow thru on the plans you have made while working on your business. You do and travel as you please, and, you might even invest to move you towards your exit strategy faster.
