• Strategic Communications Helpdesk

    Resources & Guidance
  • Important Message:

The Division of Strategic Communications is an extension of the Office of the Chancellor with the purpose of advancing the university’s reputation and promoting LSUA as a whole. The helpdesk connects faculty and staff with communications resources, brand guidance, and best practices.

Submissions are evaluated based on their alignment with university priorities, strategic impact, and the team’s capacity. When direct assistance is not available, we may recommend resources or other approaches to help you move your project forward.

    Before submitting a request:

    • Review the resources provided below.
    • Obtain approval from your direct supervisor or a department leader.
    • Graphic Design & Canva

Our division offers the convenience of Canva, an enterprise design platform fully equipped with pre-built templates designed to suit various communication needs.

      Canva Access

LSUA has a limited number of Canva licenses, allocated to individuals based on institutional needs. Faculty and staff should contact their department’s supervisor to inquire about access and available resources.

      Canva Training

Our team offers training sessions to help you make the most of Canva's design tools.

      Custom Graphic Design Projects

If your project requires custom design work beyond Canva’s available tools and templates, you may submit a request for review. Because custom and large-scale projects require significant time and resources, approval and completion timelines will depend on university priorities and team capacity.

    • Brand & Logos
    • Brand Guidelines

The LSUA Brand Guidelines establish the standards for maintaining a consistent and impactful brand presence across all communications. To ensure brand integrity and effectiveness, all materials using the LSUA logo and brand elements must be approved prior to use. These guidelines are updated periodically to reflect evolving best practices and institutional policies.

The LSUA Brand Guidelines are available at www.lsua.edu/brand.

      Logos

An approved logo must appear on the front of all print and digital applications representing LSUA or any unit within the university. Scanning, recreating, or modifying university logos is prohibited.

LSUA Logos and Usage Guidelines are available at www.lsua.edu/logos.

To report an issue with the Brand Guidelines or Logos, you may submit a request.

      New Logo Requests

All logos for LSUA units and programs must be created or approved by Strategic Communications to ensure consistency with the university’s visual identity. Units may not create their own logos, marks, or modified versions of existing university logos.

If a new logo is needed, submit a request for review. Approval and completion timelines will depend on necessity, university priorities and team capacity.
