In signing this, you agree to the following:
1. Proivide a loving home environment, teaching basics of potty training, leash manners, and in home manners.
Foster homes are an important part of ensuring rescue dogs are adopted.
2. Provide quality food and fresh water daily.
We will provide all foster homes with our preferred dog food.
3. Enrichment activies daily (toys, play time outside, walks on a leash, trips in the car, etc).
Daily play time is critical in helping rescue dogs cope with the changes in their lives. Our staff trainer will help you pick the best activities for your foster dog.
4. Dog will not be crated more that 8 hours daily (not including night time).
We encourage crate training but ask that you limit that to the training schedule and not leave your foster dog crated all day and night.
5. Weekly training sessions with staff trainer.
Either at your home or at the trainers facility, all to be determined by the dogs needs.
6. Weekly bios and pictures.
Foster homes are required to send updated pictures and bios weekly. This helps us accurately describe the dog in your care.
7. Allow Paws Up Rescue LLC access to your foster dog at any time necessary.
Paws Up Rescue LLC ask all foster families to be available for meet and greets with potential adopters, adoption events, fundraising events where dogs will be present and vet appointments. We will do our best to work around your schedule.
If you are unable to attend any appointment or event, foster homes must be willing to meet with volunteers for pick up and drop off.
8. We do like for our foster families to speak (by phone or in person) to potential adopters, you know your foster dog better than we do.
9. All dogs in foster care are owned by Paws Up Rescue LLC and must be returned to a Paws Up member when requested along with any items provided by Paws Up Rescue LLC, including, but not limited to medications, preventions, food, bedding, pads, crates, toys, treats and any cleaning and care items.
