NAIP Travel Allowance Application Form
Deadline by 9/15/24
The National Association of IOLTA Programs (NAIP) created a Conference Travel Allowance Policy to promote attendance at the Joint IOLTA Conference (a collaboration between NAIP and the ABA Commission on IOLTA) and other NAIP-sponsored conferences by reducing cost barriers and supporting an overall culture of engagement.
Eligibility:
Joint IOLTA Conference: Staff and board members from IOLTA programs are eligible to apply for a travel allowance. To the extent the Joint IOLTA Conference remains a joint endeavor with the ABA Commission, then individuals from NAIP member programs and non-NAIP member programs are eligible to apply for a travel allowance, including those NAIP members holding positions on the NAIP Board of Directors, and/or any NAIP Committees.
Other NAIP-sponsored Conferences: Staff and board members from NAIP member programs are eligible to apply for a travel allowance.
Considerations: In determining how to allocate available travel allowance funds, NAIP’s considerations may include the following:
a) encouraging attendance from IOLTA programs that have not historically
participated in IOLTA conferences,
b) encouraging attendance from new staff or multiple staff from an IOLTA
program,
c) supporting IOLTA programs that have budget or financial limitations,
d) supporting IOLTA programs that have regulatory or other restrictions on
travel.
e) facilitating greater ethnic and racial diversity amongst participants.
Travel Allowance funds must be used for travel (airfare, train, mileage, etc.), hotel costs and conference registration fees. Allowable expenses will be reimbursed upon submission of receipts for eligible expenditures following the conference. To apply for a travel allowance, please answer the following questions. If you have any questions, please contact NAIP at info@iolta.org
