WDC Empowering Youth Through Entrepreneruship (EYTE) is a multi-week program specifically designed for youth in middle school who identify as part of communities of color, underserved populations, or other systemtically oppressed people. Key benefits of this program include:
- Exploring your business ideas and goals for how to make money
- Class instruction and business coaching
- Learning about financial planning and management for your business
- Peer-to-Peer networking
- Team building opportunities
- Learning how to build your own business plan
- Receiving a free website for your business
- Receiving technology tools, such as a laptop or chrombook*
- Learning about marketing and outreach
- Guided coaching is provided for registering your business with the Colorado Secretary of State and your local city.*
- Opportunities to showcase your business or participate in the Sugary Stop to earn money via a stipend. Additionally, you can explore alternative career paths if entrepreneurship isn't for you, improve your financial knowledge, and learn how to share the things you are passionate about with others.*
Our staff, professionals, and mentors are dedicated to supporting young people's personal growth. They provide a range of techniques to foster self-identity, stress management, self-esteem building, and overcoming trauma, while also nurturing resilience
Classes are held weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays throughout June and July.
Registration for MySpark participants is covered through MySpark Denver. Scholarships are available for students who are not part of the MySpark program. Participants are asked to commit to attending the full series of classes and completing an evaluation at the end of the course. To register, please complete the following form today.
