All Beacon members are encouraged to register here attend this important meeting of the Community Development Committee of the Met Council. We want a BIG group there to show our strength, but this will be a fun and positive action. If you have a Beacon t-shirt, wear it.
The meeting will begin at 4pm, but we'll start gathering outside the Council Chamber at 3:15pm.
If interested, you can also register here to make a brief public comment at the meeting asking the CDC to make a regular supply of project-based vouchers available to build deeply-affordable housing in the suburbs.
If you'd like to speak, please also register to attend one of the online "1-Minute Message" workshops to help you formulate your message. We want to coordinate our messaging to ensure our issues are addressed without repetition and that your values and experiences are reflected.
The meeting will take place at the Met Council building in downtown St. Paul. Information about the location, parking, and carpooling will be sent to all who have registered by Friday, August 18.
