Submissions for Glitz & Glam Juried Art Exhibition

Glitz & Glam In Construction Mayhem: This call is being made in connection with the Warehouse Arts Management Organization's (WAMO's) Annual Fall Fundraiser Gala, raising money for much needed improvements to the Steinfeld Building, specifically the Subspace basement and the Steinfeld courtyard.

THERE IS NO FORMAL THEME for this call except that we want you to give us your best! Accepted work will be on the walls for the Friday, September 6 Fundraiser Gala and attendees will be encouraged to purchase some art! On Saturday, September 7, we will open the exhibition to the public for ArtWalk and any sales during ArtWalk and thereafter will benefit the Steinfeld Gallery. Any subject or artistic expression is welcome. SUBMISSION DEADLINE: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 (midnight)
Submission Guidelines:

All artists must fill out Jotform to be considered for inclusion in the exhibition.

Up to 3 completed works of any size, and in any 2 or 3-dimensional media may be submitted.

If accepted, all work must be ready to display and/or framed for hanging - no sawtooth hangers please. Any accepted work that is not in keeping with the original submission and/or is not properly prepared for exhibition will be rejected.

Artists may submit images in JPEG, jpg (minimum 72DPI, no more than 1200 pixels in any direction). Each image file should be labeled with the artist’s last name, first name, and image title.
KEY DATES

Deadline for Submissions: Saturday, September 23, 2023 (midnight). You may submit up to 3 images.

Notification of Acceptance: Artists whose work is chosen for inclusion in the exhibition will be notified by Wednesday, September 27.

Art Drop-Off: Saturday, September 30, 12-4 pm & Sunday, October 1, 2-4 pm

Exhibition Opens: For ticketed Fundraiser Gala on October 6, 2023, from 5-10 pm, and to the public for 1st Saturday Art Walk on October 7, 4-9 pm, Steinfeld Warehouse Community Arts Center, 101 W 6th Street, Tucson, AZ, 85701.

The exhibition will remain open on Saturdays, October 14, 21 & 28 from 12-5 pm.

Exhibition Closes: October 28, 2023 at 5 pm

Unsold Art Pick-Up: October 28, 5-6 pm
October 29, 2-4 pm

Sales & Commissions: Artwork is for sale. For any artwork sold during the Fundraiser Gala on October 6, 25% of all sales will be put towards much needed improvements to the Subspace basement and the Steinfeld courtyard; for any artwork sold on or after October 7, Steinfeld Gallery will retain 25% of all sales, which directly benefits the Steinfeld Gallery and its operations.
