CODE OF CONDUCT: The Lancaster Recreation Commission provides recreational sports for the enjoyment of Lancaster City and County residents. Games are intended to be fun and played in a spirit of friendly competition. Behavior that endangers others, causes embarrassment, or undermines the goals of Lancaster Recreation Commission programs will not be tolerated. Violations of these guidelines may result in ejection from a game or suspension from league play. The Lancaster Recreation Commission may also suspend a player or team indefinitely if warranted by an investigation. Investigation results will remain confidential and will not be shared with individuals or teams not directly involved. The Director of Recreation and the Executive Director of the Lancaster Recreation Commission have final authority on all decisions, and there will be no opportunities for appeal. In addition to the expectation for appropriate conduct, these straightforward, common-sense rules will be strictly enforced.
PLAYERS/SPECTATORS: Players/spectators are encouraged to attend games, cheer for their teams and encourage teammates. Insulting or verbally abusing players, officials or other spectators will result in ejection or suspension from league participation.
COACHES/MANAGERS: Coaches/managers are the authority figures for their teams, and they have a responsibility to help keep order and calm among players and fans. Coaches/managers are allowed to protest an official's call, but under no circumstances should you verbally abuse, insult, physically threaten or strike an official.
OFFICIALS: An official is responsible for maintaining order at all times and fairly calling games as best as he or she can. An official is the final authority at the facility.
