    Essay instructions for student:

    • Essay must be 400 words or less on the topic: She court reporting and captioning professions are evolving rapidly. What innovations, strategies, or personal approaches will help you thrive in a changing environment? Explain how these will support your growth, professional involvement, and long-term success.
    • Important: Please include your name in your essay file name AND on EACH page of the essay. 
    • Essay must be double-spaced.

    • has been enrolled in a stenographic court reporting/captioning intern program consistently within the past 12 months;
    • has a grade point average of at least a 3.5 overall based on a 4.0 standard or equivalent;
    • possesses all the qualities exemplified by a professional court reporter/captioner, including professional attitude, demeanor, dress, and motivation as confirmed in a letter of recommendation.
