Proposed Community ParkThe preferred Community Park location is parking lot 10, located south of Lagow Street and north of Exposition Avenue between Pennsylvania and Fitzhugh Avenue. Its location was determined through extensive public engagement with campus users, planning consultants, and community stakeholders. The proposed Community Park will be approximately 14 acres in size and accommodate the community's desired program elements determined during the planning process. The Community Park design will include extensive streetscape improvements for mobility and ADA accessibility.

Proposed Parking StructureThe proposed parking structure will allow Fair Park to replace the parking that will be utilized to build the Community Park. To accommodate parking needs, this parking structure will provide 2,133 spaces for the Fair Park community and its visitors. It is our goal to ensure the parking structure is aesthetically pleasing, environment friendly, and is representative of an open invitation for all who visit Fair Park.

Why are we Proposing a Zoning Change?We foresee a future where Fair Park is a thriving space and destination for its community members year round. As such, it is our vision to utilize the space for community programming such as neighborhood concerts and other events. As such, we want to ensure the possibility to provide continued amenities and engagement opportunities for residents and local business owners. We are proposing to change the existing zoning of this lot to protect the type of usage allotted. The Zoning Change will only affect the area labeled on this map; and is outlined on the images below:
