Cling film method
- Keep your cling film on for the first hour of your tattoo when travelling home from your appointment.
- After this time remove cling film, use clean hands, warm water and antibacterial soap (non scented) to remove excess ink. I recommend sanex, but please use something that your skin doesn't react to.
- Always use a shower, never soak in the bath
- Allow to air dry or use a clean towel/kitchen roll (no sharing) – make sure the tattoo is completely dry
- Allow the tattoo to breathe with loose clothing or bare skin
- Following this apply a thin layer of natural moisturiser, I typically recommend Palmers Cocoa butter or Aveeno (non scented) for the next two weeks - please do this three times a day with clean hands, do not smother the tattoo with cream, just a thin layer will do.
NOTE TO ALL CLIENTS
A tattoo is an open wound and will become itchy when healing, do not scratch. It is common for it to scab. Ink will come out of your tattoo for the first few days of healing be aware this could ruin your bedsheets or clothes.
- Do not use fake tan, perfume or cosmetics on your tattoo
- Do not go swimming, have a bath or use a sunbed for two weeks after getting the tattoo
- Do not go to the gym for the first week, be cautious with sweating in week two of healing.
If you have any concerns about infection, please call the studio immediately or send an email with pictures of how you are healing.
