Have an emergency plan and first aid kit at every meeting (den or pack).Create or have a Scout create a safety message to be shared at each meeting (den/pack).51% of Scouts complete their Ready Cub Activities & Boosters at your den/pack level.

Build or manage a first responder/school partnership for at least one year with a succession plan in place.Request and complete the Spirit of Adventure Basic Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Hybrid Training.Do an in-schoolpresentation of either Pedro or STEP in your community

33% of Dens completed Ready Cub!Invite a speaker from a local fire, police, or veteran organization to lead the opening ceremony with Scouts. And provide a short inspirational message.Practice an emergency prodcedure/drill while at a Pack event. For many units, September is the first Pack meeting of the new Scout year, which also happens to be National Preparedness Month.Start each pack meeting with a safety briefing for 1 year.Assign an adult to track Den and Pack Progress and submit a report of activities to the Council by August 1 of every year.
