ACFEF Scholarships for Apprenticeship, Certificate, and Post-Secondary Degree Programs- FALL 2025
The American Culinary Federation Education Foundation, with the support of the American Academy of Chefs (AAC), is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships annually to students:

Apprenticeship program - up to $1,500
Certificate programs - up to $1,500
Post-secondary degree programs - up to $2,500

Eligibility Requirements

-Be an exemplary student and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher

-Be currently accepted to an accredited institution with a culinary, pastry or foodservice-related major.

Application Procedure
-Applications are based on a point system and will be evaluated by the scholarship selection committee.
-Points can be earned for: academic grade point average; culinary competition participation; culinary volunteer activities; ACF involvement.
-Students will be notified by email of any scholarship award or denial 30 business days after the application deadline.
-Applicants are encouraged to reapply if scholarships are needed in future years.
-ACF reserves the right to cancel any scholarship at any time if the applicant fails to meet the standards of academic progress or falsifies information reported

Culinary Competition Participation - submit letter or certificate from competition organizer or team coach. Acceptable competitions include ACF-sanctioned, ACFEF knowledge bowl, SkillsUSA and ProStart competitions that have been held within the last 12 months. Only one competition can be submitted per scholarship application. --Participation (5 points) -Bronze (7 points) -Silver (10 points) -Gold (15 points)

Culinary Volunteer Activities - submit letter(s) from event organizer. Acceptable activities include helping at community charity events, food pantries and culinary clubs within the last 12 months. -1 activity (5 points) -2 activities (10 points) - 3 activities (15 points)

ACF involvement - submission documents will vary depending on the options selected. More than one option can be applied. -Holding ACF membership (5 points - will be verified by ACF, no additional documentation is required) -Attending an ACFEF-accredited program, ACFEF-apprenticeship or ACFEF quality program (5 points - will be verified by ACF, no additional documentation is required) -Participate in local ACF chapter meeting/event (5 points - submit letter from ACF chapter president) -Attend an ACF national/regional event (5 points - submit registration confirmation)

The three essays were asked to be between 50-200 words each. Grammar, spelling and relevancy will be checked when scoring the essays – each one is worth up to 10 points.
