  • Employee Track

Employees at participating organizations are eligible to participate in professional development opportunities provided through the cohort experience. There are three trainings available throughout the course of the cohort, designed to support and jump start the multidimensional work that organizations will outline in their action plans following the Organizational Assessment. Training opportunities include:

    • Mental Health First Aid: Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In the Mental Health First Aid course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.
    • Mental, Emotional, and Social Health Through Experiential Education: This course is designed for professionals who offer direct service to teens and young adults. Together we will expand our mental health literacy and understanding of mental health, wellness, regulation, and resilience in order to foster environments that help young people thrive. This is a great next step after a red flags training course like Mental Health First Aid.
    • Well-Being for Professionals: As engagement professionals, we spend our energy caring for others, and it is critical that we offer ourselves the same grace and support. It is important that we feel stable, secure, and well-balanced, and this series will be an opportunity to focus on self and communal care.
