FOSTER CARE AGREEMENT

I agree to temporary foster the following animal (hereinafter called, "Animal") from Bossy Paws Rescue INC. I agree to abide by the following conditions whenever fostering any animals for Bossy Paws Rescue Inc.

As a Foster Family, I/We agree to the following:

1. I/We understand the animal is currently named record keeping, appointments, public information,etc to refer to the animal by this name.

2. I will allow a representative of Bossy Paws to visit my premises to insure the terms of this agreement have been kept.

3. I will keep my foster pet separate from other animals in the house for the first two weeks, they

4. I understand the potential for contagious illness is high in animals. Therefore, I agree not to mix any of my foster animals or animals from more than one litter unless approved by Bossy Paws.

5. I understand that I may not foster a pet/pets from other organizations/private individuals while actively fostering a pet/pets from Bossy Paws Rescue.

6.I acknowledge the foster pet is under the guardianship of Bossy Paws Rescue and must be treated as such. However, you are fully responsible for the animal while in your care.

7. I will give 2 weeks notice if I cannot foster any longer, so that a suitable replacement foster home can be arranged.

8. I will give two week's notice by contacting us at info@bossypawsrescue.org. It is not Bossy Paws responsibility to find you a pet sitter. I will find a pet sitter for Bossy Paws Rescue to authorize. I will not leave the foster animals with an unauthorized person. I will provide the person's full legal name, address, email and phone number. They must sign a liability waiver before being approved to pet sit.

9. I will not allow foster cats or kittens to go outside at any time except to transport them to and from the shelter or to a veterinarian, if needed. I agree to transport any foster cats or kittens in a sturdy carrier. I agree to transport any foster animal(s) in an enclosed vehicle only.

10. I will notify the Bossy Paws team immediately if the foster pet needs medical attention or is displaying signs of illness or injury. Sneezing, eye discharge, lethargy, limping, litter box issues for cats, worms, blood in stool or urine, eating habits change, etc.

11. I will provide adequate food, water, shelter, and kind, loving treatment for the foster pet at all times and I will adhere to all state and local animal laws.

12. I will interact with the foster(s) on a regular basis for socialization purposes, play, holding and handling them safely and regularly.

13. I agree to bring the animal(s) to veterinary appointments and adoption events or allow for Bossy Paws to make arrangements for alternative transportation to get them to the appropriate appointments/events.

14. I understand all medical expenses that are approved by the Bossy Paws Rescue Board and treated through Bossy Paws approved veterinary office will be covered by Bossy Paws. If you take our foster to your vet it will not be covered.

15. I agree that if I become interested in adopting the foster that I will notify Bossy Paws Rescue as soon as possible. I will contact the Bossy Paws staff if anyone is interested in adopting your foster pet. DON'T arrange adoptions or do interviews on your own. All adoptions must go through Bossy Paws Rescue.

16. The foster agrees to respond to Bossy Paws within twenty four hours concerning the animal and/or potential adopters.

17. I agree to provide weekly updates of the animal's status along with a quick bio, pictures and/or videos and understand that providing these materials is vital for marketing the animal.

18. I understand that as the foster I am responsible for maintaining the vaccination schedule for the animal and that I must contact Bossy Paws a week prior to the due date requesting a scheduled appointment.

19. I will not take the foster to any public park or event without prior approval from Bossy Paws, this includes dog parks.

20. Foster to Adopt is a program we rarely utilize. With this program, all food, litter, prevention, and supplies must be provided by the foster intending to adopt the listed animal.

I have read the 2 page Bossy Paws Foster Care Agreement and I understand that I am taking an animal into my home and the Bossy Paws Rescue cannot be held accountable for incidents and accidents inside or outside of the home or any other location. I understand the Bossy Paws Rescue cannot guarantee this animal's health or behavior. The Bossy Paws Rescue has given me all the known information on this animal. I have read and understand the foster guidelines. As a Foster Family, I/We agree to release the previous owner as well as Bossy Paws Rescue and its representatives of any liability arising from our duties as a Foster Family, from this date forward.

I/we agree to abide by the foster conditions and I/we have read and fully understand that Bossy Paws Rescue may repossess this animal at any time if the foster conditions are violated or the animal is mistreated.
