- DEADLINE for scholarship applications is May 15th (Fall Semester) and November 15th (Spring Semester)(2024-2025)
- Refer to the application process below for the list of the supporting documents needed.
  Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Students must complete an application for each semester they wish to receive funding –
  Spring / Fall.
- Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher to remain eligible for funds.
- Applicants must file a FAFSA for the academic year they are applying for Scholarship Aid from the Tribe.
- BEGINING 2025 FALL APPLICATION: Applicants are required to apply for scholarship funding from the Doyon Foundation before applying to Dot Lake Village’s scholarship fund.
  (This provision does not apply to Tribal Members who are ineligible to enroll as a shareholder to Doyon due to the 1/4 Indian blood quantum requirement).
- Tribal Members may not exceed the cap of $25,000 in scholarship aid from the Tribe
  within their lifetime.
- Tribal Scholarships are supplemental, to be applied only toward the unmet financial need.
- Tribal Scholarship funding may provide aid for unmet financial needs for the following
  eligible expenses: tuition, books, or fee
- Funding will be paid directly to the institution of higher education.
  
  PLEASE NOTE THAT FUNDING FROM THE TRIBE’S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IS SUPPLEMENTAL. THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS IS INTENDED TO ADDRESS UNMET NEEDS.
  THE TRIBE ENCOURAGES APPLICANTS TO PURSUE ALL OTHER FUNDING SOURCES.

Required Forms
- Admission Letter: Acceptance letter into a degree program. Must only be provided once to be on file.
- Student ID Card: Picture of the front of Student ID Card. Must only be provided once to be on file.
- University Transcripts: Proof of at least a 2.5 GPA from College transcripts must be provided on every application.
- Enrollment Verification: Proof of enrollment must be provided for every application.
- Budget Forecast: Provide a need sheet request from the University's Financial Aid Office for every application.
- FERPA Release: If the College doesn't have a "Required Form" complete and submit a FERPA Release.
- Proof of Doyon Scholarship Application: An email notification from the Doyon Foundation stating your application was received.
