Book Fair – This committee organizes and runs a book fair to be held twice during the school year.

Planting & Beautification – Volunteers help with general landscaping, planting, and maintenance of school grounds and assist with maintenance of the outdoor courtyard.

Community Service – Volunteers serve our sister school, Glen Lea Elementary (GLE), as copy/office volunteers or classroom helpers; coordinate FOES teacher appreciation gifts (December) and lunch (February/March); and assist with donation drives (collecting/packing/delivering).

Field Day – Volunteers facilitate games and activities during this fun day emphasizing teamwork and fitness organized by the P.E. teacher and committee chairs at the end of the school year.

First Grade Musical – Volunteers assist committee chairs as needed for this special event.

Fifth Grade Musical – Volunteers assist committee chairs as needed for this special event.

Fifth Grade Basketball Tournament – This event includes friendly competitions for all grades, and volunteers help with tournament planning and day-of logistics.

Fifth Grade Celebration – Volunteers help plan and facilitate 5th grade celebration week at the end of the year, including a luncheon, a party, and team building activities.

TES Food Pantry – The PTA partners with TES to provide teacher snack bags for the staff and students at Tuckahoe Elementary.

Hospitality – The Hospitality Committee will contact volunteers as needed to help with teacher luncheons and other PTA functions.

Newcomers – This committee welcomes new families in both kindergarten and other grades to Tuckahoe.

One School, One Book – Volunteers support a school-wide reading program where we read an entire book and plan an end of reading celebration.

Reflections – Volunteers collect and organize artwork for judging in October/November as part of this national PTA program.
