Spinning Basics August, 10, 2024, 1:00-3:30 PM$45.00

Instructor: Phyllis Neal. Level: Spinning Basics is everything you need to know to get started spinning fiber. Learn hot to use a top whorl dry spindle, about fiber types, attaching fiber/drafting, and finishing yarn, along with spinning wheel and loom introduction. All supplies are included in the price of class.

Beginning Crochet Class Saturday, August 31, 2024, 1:00-3:30 PM$45.00

Instructor: Dianna Powrie. Level: Beginning to Advanced (no previous experience is required). Join our beginning crochet class and learn fundamental skills to complete your first project. Create a chain stitch, single crochet, and double crochet stitches along with how to read a pattern. The project is the student's choice and can become a dishcloth, placemat, table runner, or scarf. All supplies are included in cost of this class.

Instructor: Dianna Powrie. Level: Beginner to Advance. No previous experience is required. Students in this class will learn the art of this historical crochet style called Broomstick Lace. This technique is believed to have started in the 19th century and is made by using a crochet hook and a "broomstick". All supplies are included in this class.
