How will the Michelada Contest / Taste Test VIP Tent Work?

Chelita is the first of its kind to offer our guests a Michelada Taste Test and a Michelada Contest in the same place. We're calling it the Chelita Experience. 

This is how the Chelita Experience will work for Restaurants/Bars (now referred to as "Vendors") who will participate.

There are two elements that make up the Chelita Experience which ALL Vendors will need to participate in:

1. The first is the Chelita Taste Test
   1. The Chelita Taste Test is a simple way for VIP guests to taste all vendors' micheladas before choosing a winner. As vendors, you are only required to present ONE flavor, so get ready to select your best recipe.
   2. As a vendor you will be required to give out samples of your michelada using the provided 3oz. cups. VIP guests will be able to taste only ONE time per vendor.
2. The second is Voting 
   1. After guests finish the taste testing from all vendors, they will be able to exchange their Chelita Experience ticket for ONE full-size michelada from their favorite vendor.
   2. Each vendor is required to provide one 16oz. michelada in exchange for ONE Chelita Experience Ticket. OPAC will provide VIP guests with a commemerative 16oz. cup they will be able to use to "cash-in" their Chelita Experience ticket and receive their complimentary drink.

 

Beer Reimbusement

We're thrilled that you're considering joining us for CHELITA, an initiative created by OPAC, a tax-deductible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to foster and serve our community through inclusive programming, cultural and artistic exchange, and developing people-centered spaces.

At OPAC, we understand that participating in events like these can involve expenses, and we want to ensure that your contribution is valued and appreciated. As a token of our gratitude for your involvement, we are excited to announce that we will be reimbursing participants $4 for each 16oz. Michelada handed out during the Chelita Michelada Contest in our VIP tent.

Your participation not only helps make the Chelita event a success but also contributes to our ongoing mission of delivering outstanding experiences to our community.

Kindly keep track of the number of Micheladas you distribute during the event by safekeeping the VIP Michelada ticket you will receive from each VIP that receives a michelada from you.

Vending of Michelada Mix

Aside from your participation with the Chelita Experience for our VIPs we would like to extend an invitation for you as a vendor to sell your michelada mix to the general public at no cost to you.

 

Here is how it works:

We will have a limited amout of Michelada Mix Vending booths available. As a vendor you will be able to sell a cup with your michelada mix to our General Admission guests. This means only selling an individual cup with your mix ready to add beer.

** If you wish to also sell prepackaged michelada mix for guests to buy and take home please email christian@theopac.org **

The guest will purchase a cup with your Michelada mix from you and then walk over to our beer servers and purchase a beer from OPAC.

OPAC will hold the exclusive rights to sell the beer for the Micheladas to our guests. We will NOT sell any Micheladas or Michelada Mixes. This enables OPAC Nonprofit to fundraise to keep our performing and visual art programs for youth free or low-cost.
