ACE Annual School Information Update (23-24)

The following are service agreement items on which curriculum discounts are based and are part of the annual school update requirements. Tab through and answer the following items with “G” – Good; “S” – Satisfactory; “N” – Needs Improvement (or as indicated by using the pull-down options).
Academic Information

Administrator complete with staff input as applicable
Is the general appearance of the school safe, clean and orderly?

Is the furniture design and Learning Center layout acceptable?

Does the school utilize the entire A.C.E. core curriculum? (Math, English, SS, Science, WB, Bible, and Literature)

Are all students operating the Readmaster and Typemaster programs?

Does the school have one computer per learning center for aceconnect?
Validation: Onsite observation (ref QMSH p3)
Does your school have a quality music program or utilize the Music PACEs?
Validation: Transcript with PACE scores (ref QMSH p5)
Does your school have a quality speech program or utilize the Speech PACEs?
Validation: Transcript with PACE scores (ref QMSH p5)
Do your high school students receive at least one year of technology credit?
Validation: Demonstrate proficiency (ref QMSH p4)
Are goals properly set and followed through with proper goal checking?

Are academic controls and academic balance maintained as outlined in the Procedures Manual?

Is the “Trail of a PACE” followed including no same day testing?

Does the school perform diagnostic testing as applicable?

Are the students required to memorize all PACE verses and an age-appropriate passage of Scripture monthly?

Do parents participate in annual orientation and regularly scheduled conferences?

Does your school have chapel at least once a week and are students provided other regular devotional times (in which discussions of faith and practice can occur)?

Does your school have daily opening exercises?

Do students take standardized tests annually? (Iowa Assessments™ recommended)

Are regular staff devotional times and regular staff meetings the common practice?

Have all staff members completed official training (or updated if over 5 years)?

Does all staff view four hours of Christian Educators' Workshops (CEW) annually?
Validation: Pre or in-service options or other description of local practices (ref QMSH p2)
Is the Educational Leadership Summit (ELS) attended by the leadership staff of the school?

Does your school utilize the Dual Enrollment program of Lighthouse Christian Academy? If yes, additional validation documentation will be required.

Are the records complete, up to date and professional in appearance?

List location and contact info where records will be available to former students.
As a general rule of thumb, temporary student info like attendance records are kept for at least 5 years after a student no longer attends. Permanent records should be kept in perpetuity (at least 60 years).

Validation: Quality - 60 PACEs; Model - 66 PACEs; 88% minimum score
