    The VIPS program has a wide array of activities and community outreach events to participate in.

    • Help represent the Department at City/Community events
    • Assist with community events and activities
    • Perform special tasks as needed by the Department
    • Participate in the Patrol Volunteer Program
    • Learn about Police Operations and how it serves the community

    Basic Requirements for Participation

    • Must live or work in the City of Brea
    • At least 25 years of age
    • Valid California Driver’s License
    • Clean criminal history, no moral turpitude
    • Ability to participate in monthly meetings and events
    • Enthusiasm for working with the community
  • Upon receipt of your application, you will be notified via email of the next Information Meeting. At this meeting you will learn more in depth details about the program and how you may be eligible to serve. Meetings are held in the evenings at the Brea Civic and Community Center.
