During the winter of 2023, a California-based animal sanctuary experienced a deadly detection of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza. Once the virus detection was confirmed by the USDA, the sanctuary was given the option to quarantine for four months in lieu of a depopulation intervention.

Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary is ready to share the story of their four month fight against the deadly disease outbreak in US history. This educational virtual event will detail the sanctuary's crisis response and what strategies worked to sustain life.
