NAPABA will host its annual convention in Indianapolis, Indiana from November 9-12, 2023. As a NAPABA affiliate, APABA-CO seeks to lessen the burden of the cost of travel to the convention.
This year, APABA-CO will provide two $1,500 scholarships to attorney-members.
Scholarship Rules
- To be eligible for a scholarship, you must be a current member of APABA-CO and NAPABA. If you are unsure of your NAPABA membership, sign into your member profile at napaba.com. If you are unsure of your APABA-CO membership status, sign into your member profile at apabaco.org. Any questions related to membership may be directed to Abby Chin at chinabbyf@gmail.com.
- The purpose of the scholarship is to assist attorneys who may be otherwise unable to attend the convention given its cost (e.g., public interest, government, solo & small firm, in-house counsel).
- Financial need, including whether an attorney’s employer covers the cost of the convention (in full or in part), will be considered.
- Scholarships are non-transferable.
- All scholarships will be awarded in the form of a reimbursement, that will be disbursed after the Convention has concluded. Scholarship recipients will receive a reimbursement form to be completed by November 22, 2023, and submitted along with copies of receipts showing costs equal to or exceeding the amount of the scholarship.
- Submission of a scholarship application is not a guarantee of assistance. Decisions are final and are not subject to appeal.
The deadline to apply is September 22, 2023.
Scholarship receipients will be notified no later than October 6, 2023.
