Expose Excellence Youth Program
Moot Court
The Expose Excellence Youth Program, in collaboration with the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office, is hosting a Youth Moot Court Competition open to all Fort Bend County high school students during Spring 2026, with the final competition taking place in May. The goal is to engage and encourage youth to pursue a career in law by providing hands-on exposure to the legal profession through direct mentorship from attorneys with the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office.
Moot court is an academic activity widely used in law schools to simulate appellate court proceedings. In moot court, students analyze a fictional case and present oral arguments before a panel acting as appellate judges.
Moot court activities are proven to be an effective learning tool for students interested in law, debate, and public speaking. Through this experience, students strengthen critical thinking, public speaking, legal analysis, and advocacy skills that support college and career readiness.
The competition will take place at the Fort Bend County Justice Center on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026.
