Expose Excellence Youth Program
Moot Court
Expose Excellence Youth Program, in collaboration with the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office, is hosting the inaugural youth moot court competition open to all Fort Bend County high school students Spring 2025. The goal is to engage and encourage youth to pursue a career in law.
There will be a maximum of 24 teams participating in the competition. Each team will be comprised of THREE students from the same school. The Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office will assign attorneys to each team to serve as mentors and coaches of the moot court competition.
Teams are expected to familiarize themselves with the case materials and be prepared for every session with their assigned attorneys. Teams, teachers/school admin, and attorneys should discuss and schedule meeting dates. Scheduled meetings may take place on campus or virtually.
The competition will take place at the Fort Bend County Justice Center on Saturday, May 10th, 2025.

Moot Court Team Requirements

All THREE participating team members must be from the same high school in Fort Bend County.

Each individual student must complete an EEYP waiver in addition to the team registration.

Each team of three students must have a teacher, counselor, or other school admin to endorse their team during registration.

Participating students must have NO prior criminal offenses.

ALL students must commit to, and attend, all agreed sessions with attorneys prior to and including the competition date.

Schools must provide a designated room for in-person sessions with attorneys if meeting on campus.
