Parker Woods Montessori Emerging Sprouts Forest School Afterschool

Emerging Sprouts is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes in accordance with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Emerging Sprouts is dedicated to expanding children’s access to nature education by partnering with schools, parks, and nature preserves to provide more children and families with educational programs and offer teachers nature curriculum enhancement.

Emerging Sprouts aims to provide outdoor education by developing and delivering age-appropriate nature-based educational opportunities, improving students' understanding of scientific curricula, and supporting students in building solid foundations in math and science.

Students enrolled in Emerging Sprouts Forest School Afterschool Camp gain knowledge in science and math and can approach learning with a hands-on approach. Our curricula align with state standards in math and science which allows students to bridge their knowledge from in-class learning to outdoor learning and vis versa.

Our Afterschool Forest Class Camp takes place at Parker Woods Montessori, we are partners with PWM and offer families to sign their child up with us from 1 -3 days per week after school.

Daily Schedule of the class:

3:30-3:45 Students are dismissed as walkers. We greet them and welcome them to join in a group game on the lawn north of the preschool.

3:45-4:00 pm We eat a snack and drink water.

4:00-4:20 Hike in small groups into the forest,

4:20-5:40 Play in the creek, build forts, explore looking for bugs, small creators, etc.

5:35-5:45 Hike back to pick up.

5:45-6:00 pm Pick up at the parking lot!

Fall Forest School Camp Class Dates, are as follows:

Mondays 9/11/23 - 11/13/23 * No class Sept 25th no school

Tuesdays 9/12/23 - 11/14/23 *No Class 11/7 no school

Thursdays 9/14/23-11/2/23
