Music Therapy is the evidence-based clinical use of music and music activities to address an individual's goals. In music therapy groups, children engage in motivating music activities while targeting speech and language goals.
Kirsten received her bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Prior to WPST, she worked as a Neurologic Music Therapist, using music and rhythm as a tool for eliciting and rehabilitating motor, cognitive, and speech and language function in children and adults. She is excited to bring her music skills to WPST with a focus promoting speech and language goals through music.
