THE SPECIFIC PURPOSES OF THE PARENT AND ME PROGRAM ARE:

• To offer a time for Mother/Father (or other significant adult) and child to enjoy being together.
• To provide a positive first school experience in a structured, age appropriate environment.
• To provide a support group –a chance for parents to discuss the common challenges and joys of parenting toddlers.
• A time for children to interact and for parents to observe their children.
• To develop language acquisition.
• To provide an opportunity for your child to begin to learn about sharing with others and develop empathy.
• To help develop a positive self image for the child through a relaxed and encouraging environment.
• To create a stimulating environment for new experiences.
• A time to share ideas and hints for making parenting easier and more enriching.
• To have FUN!

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The  program offers an age appropriate experience for children roughly two years of age one day per week (either on Mondays or Fridays ) for 2 hour session  per class meeting . We offer a morning session that serves littles 18 months-30 months with the second session for kiddos 30-48 months.. The class structure is such that it gives the child a typical preschool experience in a bite size time frame.

During a typical class session your child will be exposed to various activities:

• Playground Time is structured to develop their gross motor development and motor planning.
• Circle Time is introduced to increase their attention span and encourage group participation. It also exposes the child to respond to simple directions, uses oral language and builds self confidence and the ability to express themselves, recall songs, stories etc.
• Independent Hand washing and lunch time this activity teaches simple hygiene and self-help skills.
• Snack Time gives the child a chance to learn cooperation, waiting for a turn and socialization.
• Art/ Free-Flow Time Children are exposed to a variety of simple media. They will be able to make choices, decisions and solve problems. Develop eye-hand coordination and use their 5 senses to gain information about the environment.

Each class has a maximum of 12 students.

All of our teachers are credentialed, with a wealth of early child hood education experience, are live scanned and background checked. Your teacher will reach out and introduce themselves to you.

Who is eligible for enrollment? Depending on the student's age, there are different times the classes run. 

Group 1: 8:30am- 10:30am --> Age requirement is 18months -  30 months by August 29th, 2023.

Group 2: 11:00am - 1:00pm  --> Age requirement is 30 months -  48 months by August 29th, 2023.

What day does the class run? The class runs on Fridays at the listed times above depending on the age of your child. For Fall, we are only offering a Friday class. In Spring, we will offer our Friday class and if that fills, we will offer a Monday options. If you have a specific day preference, email admin@sochh.org in order to specify your preference. 

What are the dates and cost of each block: 

Block 1: Registration NOW OPEN 

Fridays Class ONLY: starting September 8th-December 15th. (13 week semester). No class on Friday 11/10 or 11/24.
Cost- $325 with $15 material fee payable first class.

Block 2: Registration opens November 27th, 2023

Friday Class: starting January 12th-April 26th  (15 week semester) *Please note no class on 4/6*
Cost- $375 with $15 material fee payable first class.

Monday Class (to open once Friday's is FULL): starting January 8th - April 22nd. (14 week semester) *Please note no class 1/15 or 4/2*
Cost- $350 with $15 material fee payable first class. **Will fill only after the Friday session is Full**

Is this a drop off program? Do I need to stay? This is NOT a drop off program. Parents or caregives are required to stay. 

Are siblings allowed to come with me? If you have a non-walking baby, they are welcome to come with you to the Parent & Me classes. All children who are eligible to be in the class need to be registered. 

Is there a registration fee? There is NO registration fee for enrolling. Payment is due in full upon enrolling.  

Is there a supply fee? There is a $15 material fee PER student, which can be paid on the first day of class. 

What do I need to bring with me? All children will need a snack and water.

Is there a diaper changing station? Yes the diaper changing station is across the courtyard in the restroom.

I am breast feeding my toddler still. Is there a space designated for nursing? We support all feeding methods and ask for parents to nurse or bottle feed in our library quiet room and not in the classroom. If it is an infant you have with you and a toddler is enrolled in the classroom nursing/bottle feeding is fine. We do this so that toddlers get the routine down of eating snack with their peers at the time allotted for the classroom. Part of the experience of toddler time is that it runs on a schedule that little ones begin to familiarize themselves with that might be different then how a casual playdate might work, or play at home might work.

What does a typical session look like?
8:25 doors open
8:30 open centers for children and parent to play (please stay with your little one and engage with them in each center)
8:50 circle time, opening song, first book and felt board story, birthday songs and recognition
9:15 outside play time with parent (please go to each station to experience the entire yard)
9:45 snack at the tables
10:00 Classroom art and stories
10:25 Final circle time with goodbye song.
10:30 sign out through the courtyard side

I am ready to enroll! What do I do?  Registration is slated to open August 15 for Block 1 (Fall session) and all classes are expected to fill. Please fill out this form to confirm your students spot!

Registration begins Nov 27, 2023 for Block 2 (Spring session). Please note that you may list your preference to a Monday or Friday session but that is not guaranteed. We will notify registrants on December 20th, 2023 of their confirmed session.

Photograph Release:

I understand that my child(ren) may be photographed at SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool) during school hours, field trips, or activities. I understand that these photographs may be used to share amongst the parents of our enrolled student in our private communications, newsletters, social media, our private facebook group, parent-teacher apps for communication or via email. Additionally, we sometimes will feature students' work or classroom activities on our social media channels to highlight achievements of a student, a class, or the program in general. With my signature below, I grant permission for my child(ren) to be photographed, or their images recorded, for print or electronic use at SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool). I agree that this form will remain in effect during the term of my child’s enrollment. I understand that there will be no payment for me or for my child’s participation in this release. 

Release of Liability:

I understand and agree to a full and complete waiver and release of any and all liability (“Liability Release”) on the part SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool), its staff, teachers, playground monitors and parent volunteers in connection with my child’s attendance at SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool) and participation in all activities, including, but not limited to, playground activities, classroom activities and field trips taken in connection with SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool). I understand and agree that this Liability Release will apply to the entire duration of my child’s attendance at SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool) and participation in all activities. I further authorize anyone working at SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool) to obtain medical care for my child or to transport my child to a clinic or hospital if, in the opinion of anyone working at SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool), medical attention is needed for my child. I agree that if SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool) releases my child to me, my designee, an ambulance or other medical transport, a medical facility, a clinic or a hospital, that SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool) staff shall not have any further responsibility for my child. I agree to pay all costs associated with such medical care and related transportation for my child and indemnify and hold SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool), its representatives and agents harmless from any costs incurred in connection with such medical attention or any related claims. This Liability Release may only be revoked in a writing that is signed by both myself and the Director of SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool). I acknowledge that I have carefully read this Liability Release and understand its contents. 

 
I agree that this Waiver and Release of Liability shall apply to each day I or my child(ren)  am at SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool) regardless of the date that this form is signed below. I agree I will assume the risk and full responsibility for any and all injuries, losses, or damages, that might occur to my child or other family members while on the premises of the campus  or participating in any off-site program or activity; and to the maximum extent of the law, I agree to waive and release any and all claims, suits, or related causes of action against SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool), their owners, officers, employees or agents for injury, loss, death, costs or other damages to me, my heirs or assigns, or third party claims, suits or related causes of action asserted against the arising from my conduct and/or my family’s conduct while participating in SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool) programs or activities. I further agree to release, indemnify, defend and hold SOCHH (South OC Hybrid Homeschool) harmless from any liability whatsoever for future claims presented by my child for any injuries, losses or damages.

I hereby enroll my child(ren) in South Orange County Hybrid Homeschool for the term I am selecting on this form.  I understand that fees are non refundable and are due in full at the time of enrollment. South OC Hybrid Homeschool accepts cash, credit cards, check, and Venmo. I understand that the returned check fee is $25 per returned check or failed transaction. NO charter funds can be submitted for the Arts & Innovation and Foundations classes.

I agree to pay class per the registration form, as indicated herein.  I understand and acknowledge that South OC Hybrid Homeschool is a learning center of limited enrollment and that, in accepting this enrollment and agreement form together with the non-refundable program fee, South OC Hybrid Homeschool agrees to provide a place for my child(ren) for the aforementioned term.

I further understand and agree that there are no refunds if my child does not attend classes or withdraws.

The undersigned parents or guardians hereby agree that South OC Hybrid Homeschool shall at all times have the right, with or without cause and in its sole discretion, to dismiss or expel the above-named student(s) or refuse to enroll such student(s) for any succeeding school year.

No reduction or reimbursement is made for the withdrawal, dismissal, or absence of a student during the term for whatever reason, excepting the death or incapacity of my child(ren). I further specifically agree to waive any claim against South OC Hybrid Homeschool for any losses or damages in any way associated with South OC Hybrid Homeschool’s refusal to enroll the above named student(s) for any succeeding school year.

In the event it becomes necessary to institute legal action to reinforce the terms of this agreement, I agree that the matter shall be determined only by binding arbitration, according to the rules of the American Arbitration Association and, in the event that the academic program prevails in such action, I will pay the reasonable costs of that action, including reasonable attorneys fees incurred.

By my signature(s) below and on the attached contract, I certify that I have read and understand the terms stated in this agreement and its addendum and agree thereto.

Please note that all payments made are final. We do not issue refunds on class fees unless we are unable to enroll your student so please be sure of your commitment before submitting below.
