Reservation, Deposits & Final Payment
A signed Reservation Form and your deposit are required in order to reserve and confirm your space on any of our trips. Deposits can be made in the form of cash, check, money order, or wire transfer. Upon receipt of your Reservation Form and deposit, you will receive a detailed trip itinerary, a packing list, and additional trip documentation. Final payment is required 90 days prior to your trip departure. A $45 fee will be assessed to checks returned for insufficient funds.

Cancellation Policy
We understand how disappointing it is for travelers in the event they are forced to cancel their adventure, however we must continually send non- refundable payments to suppliers of transportation, boat owners and other vendors in order to guarantee your space on our trips. Therefore, we must strictly adhere to our Cancellation Policy for all travelers. We hope you understand. We strongly suggest purchasing travel insurance in case you are required to cancel your trip for ANY reason. All cancellations processed 90 days or more prior to departure will be refunded in full less the trip deposit amount (except group & outfitter bookings). Cancellations made 90 days or less prior to departure cannot be refunded for any reason. You may substitute someone to take your place on your trip or check with us to see if we have a waiting list of travelers for your trip dates. If we can substitute a guest for your trip, we will refund your trip less any booking/administrative fees and commissions incurred to sales agents.

Canceled Trips
Baja Ecotours reserves the right to change an itinerary or cancel any trip due to: acts of nature, weather, equipment failure, insufficient registration, or any unforeseen problems. In the event Baja Ecotours cancels a trip, clients will be offered either a transfer to another comparable trip, or credit towards a future trip. There are no cash refunds. Baja Ecotours is not responsible for any other trip preparation expenses i.e. airline tickets or hotel charges.

A release of liability form must be signed by all participants prior to each trip. Participation will not be allowed on our trips without a signed Release of Liability Form, and there will be no trip fee refund.

Baja Ecotours and cooperating agencies act only in the capacity of agent for the passengers in all matters relating to transportation, hotels, and other reservations and do not assume any liability whatsoever for injury, damage, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to any act or default of any hotel, carrier, restaurant, company or person, including Baja Ecotours, its employees and agents rendering any of the services included on the trip for any circumstances beyond their direct control. On receipt of deposit by Baja Ecotours the passenger agrees to the above terms.

You will need a Valid Passport. Minors, under the age of 18, must have two notarized copies of both parents’ consent when traveling alone or with one parent.

Travel Insurance

We cannot stress more the importance of getting travel insurance in case of any unforeseen need to cancel your trip. Due to our strictly enforced cancellation policy, we strongly recommend you purchase a short-term travel insurance policy for your protection against sickness, baggage loss, trip cancellation or an accident. There are many choices for travel/trip insurance that will insure your trip against almost ANY form of cancellation. We do not sell travel insurance, however we have made special arrangements and work directly with CSA Travel Insurance and FAYE Travel Insurance and offer their services for OUR trips.

A Note About Your Expedition & Mother Nature

Please keep in mind that your expedition is just that, an expedition into the remote Baja wilderness. Our daily itinerary is flexible allowing us the opportunity to take advantage of any unexpected wildlife or natural history encounters. While we make every effort to stick to our daily itinerary, unexpected delays may result due to any number of circumstances, such as bad weather or mechanical failures … all of which are very possible with adventure travel in remote areas such as Baja. Keep a flexible attitude and open spirit and you will be rewarded with the wildlife encounter and adventure of a lifetime.

I acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement of adventure travel is derived in part from the inherent risks incurred by travel and activity beyond the safety of life at home or work and that these inherent risks contribute to such enjoyment and excitement and are a reason for my voluntary participation. I hereby accept any and all risks of illness, injury, emotional trauma or death and verify this statement by signing my initials under each paragraph.

AS LAWFUL CONSIDERATION for being permitted by Baja Ecotours to participate on such trips and activities, I hereby agree that I, my heirs, legal representatives of any member of my family will not make a claim against or sue Baja Ecotours or any of its affiliated agents or employees for bodily injury, death, emotional trauma or property damage resulting from my participation in the trip/tour or expedition.
