Farmer in the Classroom
The Farmer in the Classroom program connects farmers with Iowa teachers and students. As a Farmer in the Classroom participant, you have identified yourself as a farmer that would like to be paired with a classroom to share your story either in-person or virtually. Through this program Iowa's students can further their understanding of where their food comes from and how agriculture impacts them.

After signing up, the IALF team will work to pair you with a classroom based on the information you provide. Once you are paired, you'll work with the teacher to schedule a time to visit, all while the IALF team supports you. Please know that pairing could take up to two weeks. Visits will occur during the 2023-2024 school year beginning in late fall and ending the first week of May.
