                Family History Mystery (Virtual) January 9, 16, 23 & 30, 2024 10:00 - 11:00 ESTUsing documents, images and objects, students delve into the world of genealogy through an investigation of the life of different families that lived in the Strawbery Banke neighborhood. Identify good sources, practice using primary documents to uncover clues, and develop skills to explore your own family history. This virtual homeschool program is designed for ages 8+.

                Historical Fiction Writing (Virtual) February 6, 13, 20 & 27, 2024 10:00 - 11:00 ESTTuesdays, February 6, 13, 20 & 27, 2024, 10-11 AM Learn the art of creative writing through the lens of history. Working with a professional author, homeschoolers hone their writing skills, use real historical primary and secondary sources, and develop imaginations. At the end of the month, students will have a completed piece of writing or the first chapter of a book they can continue writing at home. This homeschool program is designed for ages 8+.

                Homeschool Day: Archaeology Adventure - May 3 , 2024Delve into the world of archaeology and discover the secrets that lie beneath your feet. Explore authentic archaeological sites, participate in an archaeology-themed scavenger hunt, visit furnished homes, meet roleplayers, and much more! Archaeology Adventure day is a family program designed for all ages.

                Archaeology Day Add-on WorkshopsStudents 8-12 can sign up for additional hands-on workshops. In Where to Dig? students work with Strawbery Banke's archaeologist as she reveals the types of research that happens before an excavation. In Excavation Experience, students use archaeologists tools to learn to properly excavate a site. Each workshop is an additional $4.00 per student. When a program is full, the price is $0 and you will be placed on a waiting list for that session.

                Changes and Challenges: 1900-1950 - Wednesdays, May 1, 8, 15 & 22, 2024Explore history through hands-on activities focused on the early years of the 20th-century. The historic buildings and gardens become homeschoolers' classroom as they investigate new inventions in transportation and entertainment; bake Depression-Era “make-do recipes”; and explore life on the Homefront during World War II. Changes and Challenges: 1900-1950 is a family program designed for ages 7-11. AM SESSION IS FULL. Choose the AM Session to be placed on a waiting list.
