Thank you for your interest in booking a program with us! Complete and submit this form to book a program. Once you have successfully completed the form, a copy of the form will be emailed to you. If you do not receive a copy, your form was not successfully submitted and you will have to try again.

Multiple classes may be booked with the same form if you are interested in the same program. If you are booking multiple programs or would like to book for multiple dates, an individual form is required for each program/date.

**Final numbers must be confirmed at least 2 business days prior to your field trip. Otherwise, you will be charged for the number of participants listed above. Additional students and participants beyond your confirmed amount will incur extra charges. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee accommodation for extra participatns in the guided program.**

Request your visit date below. Please ensure all of the dates you have chosen work for your group (bussing is available, etc.). If none of the dates you have selected are available, we will contact you for alternative dates.

 

Preference for dates will supercede preference for program time (subject to availability). Your program date and time will be sent in a confirmation email once your booking has been processed. An invoice based on the numbers on your booking form will be provided closer to your visit date.

All Zoo Programs include Zoo admission for the day of your visit!

Leaf Programs include biome admission for the duration of your program ONLY.

Park Programs do NOT include admission to the Zoo or The Leaf.

Please arrive at the specified entrance at the assigned time to prevent large clusters of people. Upon arrival, you will be met by a bus marshall volunteer or education staff to escort your group. If you arrival outside of your assigned time, you will be asked to wait outside so we may better control the flow of people.

Payments

• All programs subject to a minimum charge of $157.50 (GST included), regardless of the number of participants.
• Accepted forms of payment include:
  • EFTs - must be sent at least 2 business days prior to your visit. You must include booking number, school name, and date of program with your payment.
  • Cheque - must be presented at visitor services upon arrival and made out to Assiniboine Park Conservancy
    • Assiniboine Park Conservancy is no longer able to issue refund cheques for changes in numbers less than two business days ahead of your visit.
  • Visa or Mastercard - please email education@assiniboinepark.ca to schedule a time for us to process your payment over the phone prior to your arrival.
• We no longer accept debit or cash for programmed visits. POs are not accepted.

 

• All forms of payment is due prior to your visit EXCEPT cheques which are due upon arrival. Failure to pay on time may lead to the cancellation of your program. Cancellation fees will apply.
• We do not waive program fees for Leaf, Park, or Zoo Members.
• Free admission for children under 3 years of age applies to general Leaf or Zoo admission ONLY.

 

Teachers, Group Leaders and Chaperones

• Class and group behaviour is the responsibility of the chaperones NOT Assiniboine Park Conservancy’s Educators.
• Chaperones who fall within these ratios are included free of charge:
  • Gr. Pre-K-12: 1:10
  • Post-secondary: 1:25
• Chaperone ratios are rounded to the closest 10/25 students based on student grade level. Additional adults will be charged a discounted admission of $21.75+GST/adult for zoo programs and $15.25+GST/adult for Leaf programs.
• 1:1 aides are admitted free of charge. 
• PARK PROGRAMS: Due to limited space, we must limit the number of regular chaperones to a maximum of 1 chaperone per 8 students or 5 chaperones (whichever is less).

 

Lunches

• Lunches are eaten outdoors in the Leaf, Park, and Zoo. During the winter months (November – April) accommodations may be made in the Leaf, Park, and Zoo by advance request ONLY and are subject to availability.
• We do not offer lockers or storage and are not responsible for visitors' personal belongings. It is recommended that groups bring a wagon for lunches as there is nowhere to refrigerate or store them during your visit.
• Outside food is not permitted inside Tundra Grill or Gather.
• Limited water fountains are available in the Zoo and Leaf. Please bring water bottles.

 

Cancellations

• If you need to cancel your program, please do so as soon as possible.
• Cancellations with 15 or more days in advance will be free.
• All groups failing to show or cancel within 14 days will be charged 50% of the total fee.
• We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any program. A refund will be issued if Assiniboine Park Conservancy cancels.
• Our programs run regardless of weather, so please dress appropriately. If weather conditions are severe (e.g. thunderstorms, high wind-chills, unsafe travel conditions, school closings, etc.) contact us about possible cancellations at your earliest opportunity, so we can reschedule.

 

Booking Policies

• All of our programs run 60 to 120 minutes in length. Please check your start and end time carefully. We cannot extend programs past your booked time due to early or late arrivals.
• Programs are booked on a first-come, first serve basis. We do not accept walk-ups.
• Please book your visit at least four weeks in advance for non-peak months and three months in advance for April, May and June.
• We are unable to offer programs in French at this time.
• All policies and pricing are subject to change without notice.

• We reserve the right to ask a group that is disruptive, or presents a danger to themselves or others, to leave the Leaf or Zoo without compensation.

 

After your program has been booked:

• A confirmation of the date and time will be given to the booking teacher within five business days.
• An invoice will be sent to the booking teacher, based on the numbrs you have provided closer to your visit date. 
• We understand that numbers can change. If you need to make adjustments, you can do so up to 2 business days prior to your visit.
• To provide your final numbers, please contact us by emailing education@assiniboinepark.ca with your updated numbers, along with your invoice number. Otherwise, you will be charged for the numbers on your original booking form.

Please note that any additional students and chaperones beyond your confirmed amount will incur extra charges. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee accommodation for extra participants in the guided program.

To speed up processing times, requests for visits after Jan. 1, 2025 will be processed starting Oct. 21.
