Advancing the Seed exists to empower underserved individuals, communities and nonprofits locally and globally with the tools and resources they need to advance economic equity. Our vision is built on accessible training, development, and technology as the foundations for growth and progress. We're on a mission to provide unparalleled career readiness services, entrepreneurial training, and forge partnerships with nonprofits.

Since our inception in 2015, Advancing the Seed (ATS) has empowered 5,000 individuals, sparked 50 social businesses, rallied $9 million for community development, mentored 400 leaders in both nonprofit and business strategy, awarded 2,000 Skills Training certificates, and enlightened 3,000 minds through our e-Learning courses. As an ATS Intern, you won't just be an observer; you'll be at the heart of driving our sustainability and excellence. Your Week: A Symphony of Learning and Impact

Flexibility: Work 5-10 hours per week, with 100% of the time in the comfort of your remote workspace and some optional in-person activities.
Empowerment through Education: Facilitate our empowering Financial Literacy classes for our diverse clientele.
Mentor the Mentors: Lead train-the-trainer sessions that pass the torch of knowledge forward to incoming interns.
Activation of Leadership: Engage in dynamic Leadership Activation activities that invigorate your growth (see Benefits below).

Requirements: Your Passport to Join the Movement

Unquenchable Passion: A fervent dedication to service and a heart that beats for change.
Ambition Defined: A drive to succeed and the eagerness to share that success with others.
Qualifications: Senior Grade Undergraduate, Post-Undergraduate or Graduate-Level student. Ability to learn training materials and facilitate life-skills training to 10-50 people in person or online. 1-3 years of public speaking or coaching is a plus but not required. Experience in Financial Literacy and/or Career Development a plus but not required.
Tech Savviness: Basic familiarity with Google Office and Zoom and ability to learn basics of Salesforce and how to navigate our eLearning system. .
Strong Sense of Professionalism Enhanced by a Customer-Centric Mindset: Ability to skillfully engage with organizational leaders and teams while embodying a customer-centric mindset rooted in servant leadership to enhance client value.
Autonomy: Ability to self-pace workload and manage deliverables independently.
