Cat Friendly Practice Committee - Sets that standards for delivering optimum feline care and guides practices through creating a Cat Friendly experience and environment that reduces stress for cats, caregivers, and the veterinary team.Feline Welfare Committee - Examines feline welfare issues and develops responses and position statements where appropriate.Guidelines Committee - Helps develop recommendations in order to provide guidance on the standard of feline care through the development of Practice Guidelines, Consensus Statements, and online Educational Toolkits.Governance Committee - Directs the annual volunteer leadership nomination process for the Board of Directors and AAFP Committees, recruits and develops a pipeline of AAFP volunteer leaders, and proposes changes to the AAFP Bylaws and Policies and Procedures as needed.Student Engagement Committee - Foster the development of AAFP student members, increases feline education opportunities in veterinary and veterinary technician schools, and oversees AAFP student chapters.Investments Committee - Formulates and oversees the investments of the AAFP and monitors the management for compliance with policies and guidelines on behalf of the Board.
