PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE SUBMITTING:
• No cost to submit up to four digital photographs
• Theme is global nature: landscapes, flowers, astronomy, birds, wildlife, etc.
• Photos may be from anywhere in the world
• No pets, people, or beach scenes, please
ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST MEET THESE GUIDELINES:
Do not submit any photo unless it meets the following criteria:
1) Horizontal format (aka landscape) - not vertical (aka portrait)
2) The photos will be used for an 8.5 inch by 11 inch calendar page. Therefore, photos must be cropped to fit an 8.5 inch high by 11 inch wide horizontal format. If your photo is selected but is not cropped correctly, GHPC retains the unilateral right to crop it to meet this requirement.
3) Photo files must be a minimum of 3300 pixels wide and 2550 pixels high, for quality printing. No file sizes over 10 MB, please.
4) Each photo file must be labeled as follows:
Your Last Name, Your First Name – Title of Photo.jpg
Example: Smith, Joe – Monarch Butterfly
We reserve the right to reject any submissions not meeting these criteria.
FURTHER DETAILS:
Winning photos will be selected by vote at the Tuesday, October 13, 2026 GHPC meeting at 6:30 pm in the Merritt House at Great Hollow Nature Preserve. You must be present to vote. The general public is welcome to attend. Voting is limited to submitting photographers and calendar purchasers. GHPC retains final authority in selection.
If your photo(s) are selected for the calendar, your name and the title of each photo will be printed on the photo.
For each of your photo(s) selected for the calendar, you must agree to purchase one copy of the calendar for $25. These funds cover the production cost of the calendars.
Payment deadline to get your photo(s) in the calendar is midnight, Friday, October 16, 2026.
If you do not pay on time, your photo(s) may be replaced by runner-up photo(s) chosen by GHPC.
Anyone may buy a calendar for $25 by clicking HERE to order. All purchases must be made by Sunday, October 25, 2026. Calendars are only available in this manner. Purchasers must pick up their calendars at Great Hollow Nature Preserve.
