Eligibility to Audition: Students must be in 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade. Student must be enrolled in a guitar class at their school, their guitar teacher must be a current member of the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME)/Virginia Music Educators Association (VMEA) and the teacher must be willing to sponsor the student with their membership. If there is no guitar class offered at the student’s school, the student must be enrolled in another music class for credit at the school and the teacher must be willing to sponsor the student with their current NAfME/VMEA membership. According to updated VMEA home school policy, all home school directors must complete the VMEA Home School Ensemble Registration to participate in VMEA, VCDA, VBODA, VEMEA and VGDA events for the 2022/2023 school year. Deadline for registration is September 6, 2023. Application Fee: $20. Teachers will collect fees from students and submit payment with this form.
