Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult, someone age 18 or older unless enrolled in a camp, class, or club. If a child behaves in a way that is contrary to our studio agreements, then a parent will be called and asked to come pick up their child within 20 min.

CODE OF CONDUCT
USE OF THE SPACE AND SUPPLIES - CODE OF CONDUCT
- Individuals shall remain respectful and courteous at all times to everyone else.
- Clean up - Everyone participating in an activity at Maxtivity must help clean up their project materials. Once finishing a project, clean up should happen before moving to a new project. Before leaving, check in with Maxtivity staff. Allow adequate time for cleanup in your 2-hr visit.
- Snack - Afternoon snack will be placed out on the coffee table. Individuals can choose to eat what is out in the "living room" area. Coffee or tea is available for adults in the kitchen. Please wash your mug when finished.
- Use of materials - We are a community space, so individuals should always think about using our resources mindfully, so that there is enough for others. The following projects are limited to 1 per visit: ceramics, canvas, or stuffing project. If someone would like to do more, supplies can be purchased for an additional cost. Payment due on day of use.
- The electrical closet and STEAM storeroom are for Maxtivity staff only.
- The kitchen is for adults only, or youth when accompanied by Maxtivity staff.
- Every child must sign a Code of Conduct before participating in Open Studio, ARTventures, or an organized activity.
- Pick up needs to be by the end of the 2 hour time or end of studio hours/class/club/camp, whichever comes first. There is a 10 minute grace period, however failure to pick up your child up by the end time will incur a mandatory charge of $10 for every 10 minutes late.
Should an individual, at any time not comply with this code of conduct or our studio agreements, they may be asked to leave. If necessary, a parent will need to come and take them home within 20 minute.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
Children should feel safe and be protected at all times. We have a full Youth Protection policy protecting kids. The full policy is available upon request. We will always try have 2 adults present, when children are in the Studio. If at any time there is a situation where there is not yet a second adult, children should not be left alone, parents will need to stay. All paid staff and volunteers working with children have had a background check.

STUDIO CAPACITY LIMIT
At this time we can accommodate 25 pARTicipants in the space. Each person will come in and choose a spot. This will be their work station for the day. There is some flexibility to move around to use the hot glue gun station, sewing machine, special project location, window seat, "living room" or snack area. Having a designated spot allows us to serve more people and families and helps contain the sprawl of projects throughout the space. At this time, we are drop-in for Open Studio, but parents are welcome to call in and find out what the current occupancy is in the Studio.

OPEN STUDIO DROP OFF FOR AGES 12+

SIGN IN PROCESS
Everyone using or spending time in the Studio will sign in. Date, name, contact number for that day, payment, and time in and time out. pARTicipants can simply scan their card in/out.

RESERVATIONS/TIME LIMIT
At this time, we are not taking reservations, but as we grow, it may become a necessity. We serve on a first come, first served basis. As we strive to serve more people and our pARTicipant base increases, it is clear that we will
need to limit use of the Studio. Please remember: We are a small, local, non-profit. Maxtivity strives to provide artistic opportunities for as many people as possible in our community, therefore we have decided to limit Open Studio time to two hours per visit.

PARTICIPANTSHIP TIMING
The first day of a pARTicipantship starts the day of signing up. The monthly pARTicipation runs for 30 days from that date. If an individual or family comes to Open Studio on the day signed up, admission is included. There are options to pay for just one month, get set up for recurring months, or arrange a lump sum payment for 6 months or one year.
