About WarriorWOD:
WarriorWOD is a dedicated nonprofit organization that prioritizes exercise, nutrition, and mentorship as prescriptions for veterans' recovery from Post-Traumatic Stress and other invisible wounds. Our mission is to provide veterans with the quality of life they have earned through services for our country.
Position:
We are seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will play a vital role in governance and strategic direction, ensuring that WarriorWOD continues to fulfill its mission and vision.
Responsibilities:
Provide governance and oversight of the organization's operations and finances.
Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Attend and actively participate in quarterly board meetings and special events.
Serve on committees or task forces and take on special assignments.
Advocate for WarriorWOD's mission and act as an ambassador for the organization.
Assist with fundraising and resource development.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
A strong commitment to and understanding of WarriorWOD's mission and values.
Previous board or volunteer experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to think strategically, creatively, and work collaboratively with other board members.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Willingness to contribute financially or through fundraising efforts.
Must be able to dedicate a minimum of 5 per month to board activities.

Each member of the WarriorWOD Board of Directors must demonstrate a concerned purpose to promote the mission of WarriorWOD, a willingness to strive unselfishly to achieve such goals rather than personal objectives or the objectives of any special interest groups, a willingness to follow the code of confidentiality expected of employees as expressed in the personnel policy, and a willingness to devote the necessary time to carry out the duties and responsibilities of a director.
In selecting directors, consideration shall be given to the candidate's willingness to accept responsibility for governance, including ability to participate actively in Board of Directors' activities related to WarriorWOD, areas of interest and expertise, and experience in organizational and community activities. No person directly related to an employee may be appointed or elected to the Board of Directors.
