  • Thank you for your part in supporting and propelling the success of Maryland’s Innovation Community.

    As a reminder, the MBIA Commercialization IMPACT Grant (MCIG) is designed to channel strategic funding through MBIA into earmarked for eligible companies within their member community. Work will be performed through supporting contractors and other professional service organizations (unless approved otherwise).

    The focus of these funds is to aid in the commercialization efforts of promising innovative companies that will propel success and growth in Maryland. These grant funds should be directed to companies with innovative or disruptive, technology-enabled business models.

    This Grant will operate as a rolling grant enrollment process – from SEPT 2023  through June 2024. 

    • The Grant Funds will be paid directly to the pre-approved supporting consultants/ professional service companies assisting in the execution of the commercialization strategy.
    • You will need to upload and refer to your MBIA Commercialization Grant Contract when writing/ submitting the FINAL REPORT and INVOICE.
    • Supporting Vendor companies/consultants are responsible for the FINAL REPORTS and INVOICES. After successful execution of the grant program (Scope of Work), supporting Vendors (with company input) must submit use this form to submit an INVOICE with a brief FINAL REPORT sharing outcomes, which must also be signed off (signature required) by the designated MBIA MEMBER Organization who sponsored the participating company. 
    • This can be submitted at any time prior to MAY 31, 2024 after the Scope of Work is executed, objectives are met, and grant impact data (as requested by MBIA and TEDCO) are ready for submission.
    • Additional data exchange may be necessary from Vendor/Mentors as requested by MBIA.
    • The Contracted Vendor who completed the work (or in special instances the company) will receive Funds within a month after the FINAL REPORT is submitted and approved.

  • FINAL REPORT REQUIREMENTS

    (PDF up to 5 pages including invoices - one-inch margins and 12 point Calibri font)

    Must contain:

    1) A statement that confirms the “Scope of Work” described in the Grant Contract – Exhibit A; how it was executed, and how these funds helped the company advance its technology/business growth;

    2) Relevant INVOICES supporting the activities outlined in the SOW to be paid by the grant;

    3) Relevant reporting and documentation that supports the IMPACT of the contracted activity; i.e., specific outcomes of the grant-funded work described in both a quantitative and qualitative fashion, and other outcomes achieved through the completed work;

    4) Signatures from the a) MBIA Member Center Leadership; b) Original Grant recipient / Company; c) Contracted Vendor.
