What is Launchpad?
Launchpad is a 2.5 year workforce development program that seeks to connect high schoolers to high paying careers in tech. Students enter the program as 11th or 12th graders in high school and leave as accomplished software developers, ready to enter the workforce making 50,000/yr or higher.
What is the time commitment?
Launchpad is broken up into three phases, each with its own time committment.
Foundations (Jan 2024 -> Aug 2024)
Foundations is every Tuesday in Spring from 4-6pm and six weeks of full-day programming in Summer 2024.
101 (Sept 2024 -> May 2025)
101 is 4 days/week from 1-4pm. Students who will be seniors for 101 must be eligible for Work Release to participate in the program and make this time committment.
Lift Off (June 2025 -> June 2026)
Lift Off is 30 hours/week for a full year after the completion of 101. This will take place weekday mornings and some afternoons.
What does my student earn?
Your student will earn $1,500 in Foundations, $3,000 in 101, and $12,000 in Lift Off. In addition to money they will earn a Python coding certificate and up to 30 college credits.
