Registration for Virtual Tour of Former Residential School and Survivor Testimonies
In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we will join the Woodland Cultural Centre for a virtual tour of the former Mohawk Institute Residential School located in Brantford, Ontario. We will learn about the history of the school from its opening in 1831, until its closure in 1970. Participants will see different rooms inside the school and hear testimonies from five Survivors.
After the tour, there will be an opportunity to share comments and ask questions with a Cultural Interpreter.
Please note, there are 125 spots available for this tour. Please register through this link by September 25 at 3 p.m. and the Zoom link will be sent to you in advance of the session.
