Project work hours vary each day by job site (Explain specific site hours of work). Each employee shall be on-time to start their shift and work the entire shift. Employees, who are late or leave early without approval from their supervisor, will be subject to discipline, up to and including termination for repeated violations. No employee shall leave the job site during their shift without approval from their supervisor.Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) shall be always worn while on the construction site:Safety glasses, hardhats and high visible vests/shirts shall be worn 100% of the time. Gloves Shall be always worn. The Berg Group requires A4 Cut resistant gloves when working with any steel, metal, glass or demoing materials and minimum of A2 Cut resistant gloves when working with all other scopes including, drywall hanging, finishing, ACT, plastering, painting, and taping.GC/Customer PPE policy may supersede Berg Group Safety Policy. Please review your specific site PPE rules with your Berg Group safety representativeKnow and understand all Berg Group and Site customer/GC safety procedures and hazard communication programs. All Berg Group safety policies may be obtained electronically via. The Berg Group Field application(https://field.berggroup.app/safety/) or by accessing our company field planning system (PlanGrid). Hard copies of Berg Group Safety policies may also be located on each job site. Please inquire with the specific Berg job site foreman you are working on to view. AllCompany safety policies or SDSs are always available upon request. If you have specific questions regarding job site or GC safety rules, please request those from your direct supervisor or Berg Group site safety representative.ANSI Z-87 approved eye and face protection 100% of the time while on the construction project. Prescription safety glasses require side shields. Face protection (shield) required when using grinders, chop saw, chipping hammer, and partner saws.All personnel working in an area generating airborne silica dust must wear proper PPE. Employees of subcontractors must always follow their Silica Exposure Control Plan. The Berg Group will offer basic dust masks to employees that request them. N95 respirators will be provided upon request and will require the completion/signature of an Appendix D form. If you have specific questions regarding silica exposure, please contact your immediate supervisor or the Berg Group safety representative.All accidents, injuries **No Matter How Minor** shall be reported to their supervisor immediately.All near-misses shall be reported immediately to the employee’s supervisor and the Berg Safety representative.Review medical treatment protocols for injuries requiring on and off-site medical treatment. BergSafety to review each site’s injury protocol during this orientation.Use ladders per OSHA guidelines and manufactures restrictions. Ensure ladders are inspected daily prior to use. All labels must be visibleAll work-related injury treatment will be the responsibility of the individual employee’s onsite management/ownership. The Berg Group will provide direction and assistance to onsite contract employees for first aid care only. Care beyond first aid and any follow-up treatment and care will be directed by the Contract Broker.Fighting or horseplay is always prohibited and will result in immediate discipline, up to and including terminationHarassment of any kind, inappropriate behavior or other intimidation shall not be tolerated and will lead to immediate termination.Stop work authority is the responsibility of all employees. If you feel a task or situation is unsafe you must STOP WORK. Contact your immediate supervisor and the Berg Group site safety representative to review your specific situation.Cell Phones, iPods, MP3 players, personal radios/CD players requiring ear buds or headsets are strictly prohibited! All phone calls and phone usage shall be permitted on designated breaks and specific site locations outlined by your project team and Berg Safety representative.All employees shall adhere to State, local and federal OSHA laws and regulations. Failure to comply with these rules may result in removal from the site and/or terminationAlcohol and use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited on all Berg Group job sites. Contract employees involved in such activity may be selected for a drug screen in the following situations. • Reasonable Suspicion of being impaired. • Involved in a work-related accident that injures yourself or a coworker. • Involved in a work-related accident that causes property damage of any type.Safety meetings are held on a weekly basis (attendance is mandatory)Do not enter an area that has RED DANGER TAPE or signage indicated a controlled access area or authorized personnel only. Only enter areas you are authorized to enter.Employees preforming tasks from elevated working platforms such as scissor lifts and boom lifts shall be qualified to operate these types of platforms by either certificate, degree, or professional standing. (Provide certificate to job site foreman and Berg Safety during your orientation)When using a scissor lift the chain/entry gates must always be attached and closed. All MEWPs/Aerial lifts require fall protection use at 100% of the time.All lifts must be inspected before each shift and at each operator change. A copy of the inspection record should be always on the liftThere is a 100% 6-foot fall protection policy - All employees exposed to a fall hazard of six or greater shall be protected by the means of fall protection.Berg Group daily Warm and Stretch is mandatory and completed at the start of each shift. (If you feel you are unable to participate in the Berg Group Warm and Stretch program, please let yourForeman or Safety team member know during this orientation.)The use of wheeled baker scaffolds is strictly prohibited on all Berg Group job sites unless written approval from a safety team member or Superintendent has been obtained.Any areas where cutting may cause sparks, flames or have the potential to cause a thermal event such as a fire will require a hot work permit. Before working the permit must be obtained!Ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCI) are required on all tools and equipment. All extension cords and power tools shall be properly grounded and inspected daily for damage. Use of power strips for anything outside of the office area is prohibitedAny employee who leaves the project during their designated breaks or lunch break is doing so voluntarily and it is not for company or related business purposes.Any employee who needs additional tools or materials to complete their work shall immediately notify their supervisor.All tools are to be inspected daily before use. Remove all unsafe tools and equipment from the job site immediately upon discovering a defect.Prior to any demolition work check confirm with site supervision that the proper lockout /tag out procedures are in place and verified. All other utilities are to be shut off or disconnected prior to demolition activity starting. Do not begin demolition without approval or your site safety representative.When preforming work in an area and you encounter a substance you suspect is hazardous, STOP, contact your immediate superintendent immediately, do not proceed until you are given instructions to do so by your supervisor or Berg Group site operations or safety.Drywall Stilts are prohibited by all contractors working for the Berg Group LLC. (Unless approved in writing in the contract or by Berg Group Safety)

**The Berg Group reserves the right to bypass 1-3 violation procedures and proceed directly to discipline for the fourth violation.**

Each jobsite’s disciplinary policy may be substantially different than the Berg Group disciplinary policy. Please know and understand the specific jobsites rules and requirements reviewed with you during your onsite GC/Client safety orientation. If you have specific questions about the site disciplinary policies, please ask the Berg Group Site safety representative.
