Eligibility:
Full-time educators including classroom teachers, specialist teachers (art, music, P.E., media, technology), learning specialists, and counselors who currently teach students in Kindergarten through 12th grade in Jewish Day Schools in Metro Atlanta affiliated with Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta.
What:
Educator Wellness Grants of up to $400 to be used for services and activities that allow educators to promote and support health and wellness.
Examples include:
Mental health and wellness:
- Individual, family or group therapy
- Art, music therapy
- Mindfulness or meditation classes
Physical health and wellness:
- Gym memberships
- Fitness/exercise classes or sessions with a trainer
- Home fitness equipment or online exercise classes
- Nutritionist or meal prep services
Other:
- Child babysitting or respite care
- Housekeeping
Application Process
Winter cycle:
Provides grants to first-time applicants AND educators who received a grant last year (2023-34 academicyear) as funding allows.
- Applications should be submitted between January 13 and February 7.
- Applications will be reviewed, and recipients will be notified if their grant has been approved by March 7.
- If approved, funds will be transferred through Venmo within 2 weeks of approval from the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta.
Please note:
- Recipients are required to complete a brief post-grant survey by the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
- Recipients need to establish a Venmo account to receive payment. Please ensure the personal email on your application form matches your Venmo account email.
