Assembly Time: 5:30pm

Starting Time: 6:00pm

This is a WALKING PARADE. No vehicles, except at the discretion of the Parade committee.

We have a limited amount of lanterns that will be available for use for the Parade. Lanterns will be collected at the end of the Parade route.

We will have a Lantern Competition for groups to create their own lanterns and will be judged on creativity and functionality. Awards will be announced at the Lantern Parade Program.

RULES & GUIDELINES

CHECK IN: A central check-in location will be at Kailua Pier. Please send a representative to 'check-in' your entry.

ALIGNMENT: Zones for parade entrants to line up will be provided at check-in.

ASSIGNED LINE-UP: Your numbered card will be distributed by the Zone Volunteers. Place the card on the front of your entry banner. It is important that the numbered card can be seen by the announcers.

PARADE PACERS & DISTANCE YOU MUST KEEP: To keep the parade moving smoothly and safely, pacers wearing safety vests will be located throughout the parade route. For everyone's safety and consideration, please pay close attention and comply with the pacer's direction and keep a safe distance between each other. This will help the announcers to accurately identify with your group. Performances should not hinder the flow of the parade and kept to no more than a maximum of 30 seconds.

HANDOUTS: At no time should objects be thrown. Any samples or other gifts should be handed out. This distribution should be done in a manner that does not at anytime pull the audience into the street or the line of the parade. This will be strictly enforced and may cause an entry to be pulled from the parade. Objects that have potentially dangerous nature are strictly prohibited.

PARADE ENDS: Parade ends at Hale Halawai, at the corner of Hualalai Road and Ali'i Drive.

ELIGIBILITY: The parade committee's decision regarding all entrants and their eligibility is final.
