We have 6 weeks until Australians vote on enshrining an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Voice to Parliament in the Constitution. It will be one of the biggest opportunitIes for creating First Nations justice in our history, and it is time for all of us to do our bit.

No one person can decide the outcome, but on the morning after the refereNdum, we will all be able to ask ourselves, did I do all I could to stand with my Indigenous siblings?

The good thing is, there are so many ways to contribute, no matter your capacity. Already, so many Uniting Church congregations, councils, and agencies, led by the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress, have taken action.

This form is an opportunity to connect with more activities and share your existing ones.

Are you a committed advocate for the VtP with connections to Uniting Church communities passionate about doing justice? Can you come to a weekly 1 hour zoom meeting Tuesday mornings until referendum day (14 October)? We will be coordinating the various Assembly-led actions listed below. This might be the Church Committee with the shortest time commitment you ever see!

The most impactful action we can take is having direct conversations with people who are undecided on or disengaged from the referendum. You will be trained on having these conversation and will always work in a team. Invite your friends to sign up so we can organise these events in your own congregation/community.
