Abstract Submission Deadline

How to apply

Applicants are invited to submit an abstract to be considered to present in the Melbourne Therapeutics Innovation-2-Translation symposium pitch event. Participants will have access to training run through the VCCC. Presenters will have an opportunity to receive immediate feedback from a panel of research commercialization experts, and prizes for best speakers.

To be considered for a position, you are required to answer five questions, as outlined below:

1. Presenter Full name

2. Institution Name

3. Project Title

4. Abstract (project description) (maximum 300 words)

5. Email address

6. Approval from institute Tech Transfer/Commercialisation Office

Before you commence your submission, it is recommended that you type the answers to the questions in Word, then cut and paste into the applicable fields.

We are actively incorporating gender balance, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of its events programme and are seeking representation from across the Parkville Precinct.

 

Conditions of entry

1. Submissions are only open to projects from participants from research institutions or universities

2. All information included in the application process and presented on the day should be non-confidential

3. Applications from Institutions with Technology Transfer or Research Commercialisation Offices must have prior approval from the relevant technology transfer or commercialisation office, unless the entire IP rights to the project have been assigned to the individual submitting the proposal

4. Innovation-2-Translation is an in-person symposium and thus all successful applicants need to be able to present on Tuesday 14th of October, at the Woodward Conference Centre

5. Presenters will be allocated 7 minutes for their pitch, with a further 3 minutes Q&A / feedback from the expert investor panel;
