Intro:Â The purpose of this Barrier Review and stocktake is to better understand, and quantify, the challenges barriers are presenting to accessibility across the trail networks in Aotearoa. This includes understanding which barriers are preventing access for people with mobility impairments, access needs and users of adaptive equipment. The results of this review will enable suggested improvements to barriers to ultimately support you as a trail manager to develop more inclusive and accessible trails. Information sourced from this review will also help to develop a decision-making matrix to support future barrier planning and use.
Before you start: This survey is estimated to take approximately 10 - 25 minutes when information is readily available
- You will be asked for photos of the barriers and signage on your trails.
- You will also be asked for the dimensions of your barriers.
If you manage a network of trails, please select a sample of your trails to input barrier data for.
You can save your survey responses at any time – there is a save button at the end of each page.
