Rental Space Rules and Regulations
Decorations
Due to the historic nature of the building, some decorations are NOT allowed to preserve the integrity of the building. If these rules are not followed/any damage as been done, your security deposit may not be refunded at the discretion of the SVRC Marketplace staff.
- Easily removable tape MUST be used; medical tape, command strips can be used however, careful removal and ALL must be removed after your event. Removal of paint on any wall or beam will forfeit security deposit return.
- No open flames of candles, sparklers, etc allowed; chaffing dishes ARE allowed.
- No hanging of any type from ceiling, pipes, or fixtures from ceiling.
- No loose glitter, confetti or feathers; too include balloons with glitter/confetti inside-if used YOU must put these inside garbage bag unpopped
Cleaning of Space
SVRC Marketplace will provide you with a cleaning checklist along with cleaning supplies to ensure the return of your security deposit. This checklist will be located in a designated area and attached to a clip board near supplies. If you do not complete this checklist, your security deposit may not be refunded.
Items on checklist:
- Garbage removed from bins and placed in black cart provided by marketplace facilities staff
- All floors swept and push broom used
- Any spills wiped and cleaned; mop available as needed.
- All tables, chairs and countertops wiped down with proper cleaning supplies supplied by the marketplace
- Tables may be left as is once they have been cleaned
- All chairs MUST be stacked in groups of 8 and placed near the tables used and or the wall near the bar area; for Pressroom please place up against the wall
House Rules
- OUT TIME OF ALL VENDORS and PARTICIPANTS is a strict 11:30pm; any remaining time after 11:30pm, security deposit will be forfeited, and a fee of time overage will be assessed.
- Do not drag tables and chairs on floors
- NO bringing in of any outside alcohol; individuals will be asked to leave by security or marketplace staff immediately.
- No FOG or sparklers of any kind used by DJ, decorators or others
- All DJ’s must use the correct tape on the floor to cover any cords that maybe considered a trip hazard.
