Paint-Outs are open to all OPM members and their guests. Participants are not required to register, but it's helpful so we can communicate any last minute changes to locations or weather cancellations. Participants may arrive any time during the duration of the paint-out, but keep in mind that painters may spread out and be hard to find.

Description of Painting Opportunities:
Enjoy painting the fall colors of this amazing landscape ... with 180 acres and 5 miles of trails. The Forest History Center includes an historic 1900s logging camp, black spruce and tamarack bog, views of the Mississippi River, two teams of working draft horses (gorgeous Percheron and Belgian teams), and a diverse fall forest. There are restrooms located in the main building and a covered pavilion for lunch.

OPM member, Nelia Harper will host a series of Paint-Outs in northern Minnesota this summer and autumn. The Paint-Outs are created to engage and connect Minnesotans of all ages and abilities through plein air painting and arts outreach with regular painting opportunities in collaboration with OPM and MacRostie Art Center. Nelia is a fiscal year 2023 recipient of Creative Support for Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
